State Capture and Beyond Project - Call for Proposals

Call for Applications: Funding and technical support for local Civil Society Organisations to create, develop, and implement their own anti-corruption projects that promote transparency and accountability.

The Legal Resources Centre (LRC) is pleased to invite civil society organisations (CSOs) to apply for third-party funding to enable them to implement their own impactful projects and campaigns centred around state accountability, transparency, and the fight against corruption.

Over the past year, the LRC and the Human Rights Media Trust (HRMT) have been working hard to implement the State Capture and Beyond (SCAB) Campaign. This is a nationwide initiative dedicated to fostering accountability and transparency in governance. SCAB aims to empower citizens, CSOs, and private and governmental institutions to engage actively in the fight against corruption.

A key objective of this campaign is to strengthen and support the efforts of civil society in promoting accountability, challenging corruption, and cultivating a more active and informed citizenry. We firmly believe that a vibrant civil society is indispensable in strengthening the fight against corruption and ensuring state accountability.

To this end, we are offering third-party funding to CSOs currently involved in the fight against corruption. Through this funding, we hope to support organisations whose missions and activities align with the goals and objectives of SCAB.
